About Sinergia Animal
Rated as one of the world's most effective animal protection organizations by Animal Charity Evaluators, Sinergia Animal is an international campaigning organization working in countries in the Global South (specifically Latin America and Southeast Asia) to reduce animal suffering and promote more compassionate food choices.
We use negotiations, investigations, peaceful direct actions, and innovative campaigning methods to expose the suffering of farmed animals and to help build a world in which no animals are exploited for food.
About the position
We are looking for a passionate and results-driven Global Corporate Engagement & Campaigns Lead to join our team. In this role, you will develop and execute high-impact corporate advocacy and campaign strategies to influence global businesses and drive meaningful change in their policies and practices, or fully implement their pre-existing animal welfare commitments.
As a key leader in our negotiations campaigns, you will engage with major multinational food corporations, their industry shareholders, and top decision-makers to push for the adoption and/or implementation of animal welfare commitments. You will develop and execute effective and bold negotiations and campaign strategies, ensure alignment with the organization’s strategy, monitor industry trends, and work closely with the Global Engagement Director to ensure the success of our advocacy efforts.
This position requires boldness to attend shareholder meetings, strong campaigning and negotiation skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of successful corporate engagement, mobilization and campaign tactics. Responsibilities
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Researching and helping the team build a database of food companies’ profiles and key contacts.

Planning and coordinating negotiation and campaign initiatives to persuade companies to adopt new commitments or fulfill their animal welfare commitments.

Helping plan and organize online and offline campaigns, including peaceful, visual, and bold street actions.

Developing and implementing mobilization and comms strategies to maximize the visibility and impact of these campaigns, including briefs for social media content, newsletters, and press releases.

Traveling regionally, as necessary, to attend shareholder meetings and coordinate campaign actions.

Representing Sinergia Animal and its campaigns at public events and within the NGO and animal protection communities at large.

Working with Sinergia Animal’s international comms lead to align plans and workload with our social media platforms and PR agency.

Building alliances with other international and/or grassroots NGOs.

Carrying out other activities assigned by the supervisor, director, and/or president and following all procedures set by Sinergia Animal.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess most, if not all, of the following qualities, skills, and characteristics:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as business management, social communications, journalism, marketing, and others.

Strong background in running campaigns, negotiations, and mobilization strategies is desirable.

Excellent writing, public speaking, and research skills.

Proven ability to work both independently and in close coordination with a remote team.

Must be able to work to deadlines and manage multiple projects.

Strong time management skills.

Commitment to the mission and objectives of the organization.

Commitment to non-violent direct actions.

Affinity for animal rights issues and a vegan lifestyle is highly desirable.

Proficiency in Portuguese and English.
