FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM
SUPPORTING EMERGING LEADERS AND ORGANIZATIONS ADVOCATING FOR ANIMAL WELFARE IN SOUTHEAST ASIA.
WHY THIS PROGRAM?
In many countries across Southeast Asia, the movement for farmed animal welfare is still growing and new voices are urgently needed. This program was designed to identify and support passionate individuals or organizations willing to launch campaigns focused on reducing the suffering of farmed animals in Southeast Asia.
PROGRAM GOALS
BUILD A STRONGER MOVEMENT FOR ANIMALS IN THE GLOBAL SOUTH
Increase the number of strong organizations in the Global South working to improve farming conditions.
INCREASE THE IMPACT FOR ANIMALS IN COUNTRIES WHERE THEY NEED IT MOST
Empower new teams to run compelling campaigns to improve the lives of millions of animals trapped in factory farms.
BUILD SYNERGY
Provide practical training, mentorship, and funding to build long-term leadership capacity and long-lasting partnerships.
OUTCOMES SO FAR
OVER THE COURSE OF TWO YEARS, THIS PROGRAM HELPED THREE ORGANISATIONS, PROVIDING 50+ HOURS OF THOROUGH TRAINING SESSIONS AND MENTORSHIP SESSIONS WITH EXPERIENCED PROFESSIONALS ON A RANGE OF ESSENTIAL TOPICS—FROM STARTING AN ORGANIZATION TO ESTABLISHING A SOLID CAMPAIGNS PROGRAM.
THESE EFFORTS HAVE DIRECTLY LED TO IMPROVED LIVES FOR THOUSANDS OF ANIMALS.
HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS
Duration: 2 years
Location: Fully remote
YEAR 1 — LEARNING BY DOING
Financial support to develop the program within the organization.
Practical training with Sinergia Animal’s experts.
Full access to Sinergia Animal’s Learning Management System with over 15 hours of training and resources for animal advocacy NGOs.
Catered collaborative development of strategic plan and structure of goals and metrics.
Access to mentorship sessions with specialists in various areas of expertise to support the organization’s growth.
YEAR 2 — GROWING INDEPENDENCE
Continued mentorship, tailored to the organization’s development.
Encouragement to lead independent campaigns.
Additional financial support to implement public campaigns for animal welfare commitments.

TAILORED MENTORSHIP WITH EXPERTS WHO WILL FOCUS ON YOUR ORGANIZATION’S DEVELOPMENT.

WHO CAN APPLY
We are looking for individuals or local groups that:

Are able to establish an organization focused on promoting farmed animal welfare in Southeast Asia

Want to start or formalize an organization focused on animal advocacy

Aim to create impactful advocacy campaigns dedicated to accelerating the farmed animal protection movement

Are passionate about animal justice and committed to achieving better standards for animals exploited in the food system
You do not need to be part of a registered NGO; this program is specifically designed to support those taking their first steps in the movement.
