VEGAN CHALLENGE MANAGER - INDONESIA

Location: Remote

This position is preferably for Black, Indigenous, trans people, and people with disabilities.

 

Terms of Employment: Consultancy, Part-Time (20 hours per week)

Reports to: Food Policy and Animal Welfare Director

Position Location: Remote - Indonesia

Remuneration: To be defined according to location and experience

Language requirement: Native Bahasa and Advanced or Fluent English

Rated as one of the world's most effective animal protection organizations by Animal Charity Evaluators, Sinergia Animal is an international campaigning organization working in countries in the Global South (specifically Latin America and Southeast Asia) to reduce animal suffering and promote more compassionate food choices. 

We use negotiations, investigations, peaceful direct actions, and innovative campaigning methods to expose the suffering of farmed animals and to help build a world in which no animals are exploited for food.

About the position

Are you a person who’s passionate about helping animals, humans, and the planet by promoting veganism? If so, this may be an exciting opportunity for you. Sinergia Animal has opened a manager vacancy for its Vegan Challenge Program in Indonesia. The manager will coordinate the work plan, materials, volunteers, and other activities related to the program, aiming to achieve the established objectives at the highest standards.​

Responsibilities

  • Keep track of the annual goal regarding the number of signs-up and ensure we are on the right path to reach the goal.

  • Manage social media, including Instagram, Facebook page, and Facebook group.

  • Help participants have a great experience within the Facebook group.

  • Oversee mentors and volunteers, providing them with all the information they need to coordinate activities in the group.

  • Maintain close contact with the donor, having at least monthly calls.

  • Maintain close contact with the international team, check daily all the platforms we use, and have at least bi-weekly calls.

  • Write progress reports and send them to the donor when requested.

  • Contact celebrities and influencers to join campaigns.

  • Contact restaurants to join campaigns and determine how they can support the campaign and the mentors when requested.

  • Together with the international teams, build a strategic plan with short- and long-term goals.

  • Build alliances with other international and/or grassroots NGOs and NGO coalitions.

  • Support with any other activities requested by the managers and directors of Sinergia Animal; for example, help to create reports on our social media data and stats and translate, proofread, and develop campaign materials.

  • Excellent communication and networking abilities

  • Excellent writing abilities

  • Ability to synthesize information and create reports

  • Commitment to the mission and objectives of the organization

  • Can-do attitude

  • Organized

  • Excellent multitasking and time-management skills

  • A great team player but can also do the job independently

  • Knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook pages and groups, Instagram, Twitter)

  • Good digital marketing skills
